A Hot Day Again

By 11:30 it was a mere 88* F. on the deck. Spent the morning watering the potatoes, peas, chard and beets. The potatoes are showing their green tops through the soil. (It won't be long before they bloom). All the seedlings from inside were taken out at 8:30 a.m. The earliest so far this spring. Supposedly there will be at least 2 more days of unseasonal hot weather.
Took a walk in the back 40 only to discover dinner plate sized fungi that mostly had been eaten. A patch of hounds tooth has appeared since the timber harvest.
The apple tree next to the big garage is the most beautiful that has ever been seen.
