Tooth
Been having a tooth problem lately. Yesterday had x rays and teeth cleaning. Today had a filling replaced in the back upper molar. Just for a mere $443.00. How come dentistry was not even considered as a profession? Money was not something considered back in the 60's, however it does help now a days. Keep watering and slowly trying to repair the leaks in the system.

Hot, Hot, Hot
It has been hotter than Hell lately. Hard to keep up with the watering around here. The pump over heats easily and shuts down delaying the schedule. Spent time at the Yuba River yesterday and looking forward to more visits.

Down in the Dumps
Boo Hoo The well is not working and the neigbors are having difficulty also. O not sure what to do. Back to filling the holding tank up with the raw water and adding chlorine to it. The other neighbor will allow me to fill up a 6 gallon container of their well water since the well is 450' deep much farther than any of the others on this hill.

Hot Day In The Sticks
It is one hot day. Watered the tomatoes yesterday and looked at them this morning to see they had grown about 1 foot. Keep watering the peppers to see some of them deciding to grow larger while others are struggling to stay alive. Amazing to see so many things that were started out by seed survived for only a short time. Thought there would be way too much however, thinking that this is enough for Fairview.

Overcast
Woke up early this morning to a downpour. Fell back asleep, to wake up later around the normal time of 5:30 a.m. The smell is so wonderful after it rains. The air seems to be clear and fresh. Mostly overcast all day with temperatures in the low 80's. Spent the morning watering the vegetable garden then continued the eradication of those hideous Himalayan blackberry vines.

Separating Iris
Spent most of the morning separating the bearded iris. Gave some away and planted some in a new bed that is under construction. More to do tomorrow. Also separated some volunteer turnip greens. It did a very light sprinkle this afternoon. Temperatures have been relatively mild, however, hottness is on its way by mid week.

Berry Good
Been berry vine eliminating again. This chore will probably take several weeks to finish. Not much else going on except for watering and picking an occasional zucchini. Bought 1/2lb of snow peas and the yield so far has been 6lbs. Love those snow peas.

A Berry Nice Day
Spent most of the day eliminating berry vines from the garden area. Lots of bending over and cutting of the vines at the ground level. Will come back later with a shovel and try and rid the area of the roots. It is a job and a half. Things are starting to turn around here at Fairview. The water is flowing and the truck is working. Started cutting zucchini.

Hot July
Not in a great mood since finding out the deer discovered the tomatoes and chewed them down. The tomatoes where looking beautiful and blooming. It is hard living in the sticks. Sometimes it seems the city would be a better option.
