Harvesting

Been harvesting daily amounts of tomatoes, picking up ground apples and watering. Usually takes about 3 hours to finish. The apple trees are loaded and it seems they are larger than ever before.

Smokey

Much smoke from the fire that is burning in the area and jumped the Yuba River in this county. Ash is falling all around Fairview Farm. Reminiscent of last year's fire seanson. Much ash collected in the spider webs, a pink sun in the sky that can be stared at for much time and the darkness like a nuclear winter.

Windy

The fires seem to be filling up the canyon with smoke here at Fairview. A couple of fires are not that far away. Not to mention the one in Santa Cruz mountains.

Cooling Down

Not much going on except for watering and picking zucchini with an occasional cherry or pear tomato. Last night and this morning skies were very similar. What could this mean?

Peachy Keen

The peaches are ripening. Picking up some that have fallen on the ground and trying to pick them off the trees before the birds devour them. A good crop this year for the young trees.
