Woke up this morning to about 4" of snow. It is certainly beautiful to behold and much a hassle to live with. The poor purple leaf plum is so loaded down with snow it snapped it's main branch. The orchard fence looks like a white lace curtain.
By late afternoon the snow had melted off of the purple leaf plum exposing the broken branches. It is sad this had happened to such a beautiful tree. Every year the tree is in full blossom and then it snows heavily on it's branches.
